Job Purpose

• Implement and teach Middle School students according to the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
• Provide professional expertise and high-quality teaching in a supportive and positive climate.
• Deliver a coherent, balanced, integrated, inquiry-based program preparing students for international programs.
• Collaborate with other teachers to contribute to students’ success.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Be a subject expert and plan authentic units addressing local and global issues.
• Enable student autonomy in goal setting, planning, and independent work.
• Design, prepare and deliver a high-quality IB-based curriculum suited to individual student needs.
• Develop a holistic learning experience building on prior knowledge.
• Design and supervise laboratory experiments ensuring safety and proper emergency actions.
• Assign and evaluate coursework, submit grades and maintain parental communication.
• Create course materials and extra-curricular activities, including fieldwork and learning engagements.
• Motivate students using differentiated instruction and varied teaching styles.
• Monitor student progress and performance to enhance skill mastery through effective assessment.
• Participate in assessment standardization within the subject group.
• Communicate regularly and constructively with students using engaging teaching methods.
