Job Purpose

• Implement and teach Middle School students according to the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
• Provide professional expertise and high-quality teaching and learning.
• Lead and facilitate diverse learning experiences in a supportive and positive climate.
• Deliver a coherent, balanced, integrated, and inquiry-based program preparing students for international standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Be a subject expert in IB MYP Science.
• Plan authentic units that allow students to apply knowledge to local and global issues.
• Enable student independence through goal setting and planning.
• Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality IB curriculum suited to individual student needs.
• Develop a holistic overview building on prior learning experiences.
• Design, test, and supervise laboratory experiments and ensure laboratory safety.
• Assign coursework, evaluate, submit grades, and communicate with parents.
• Create course materials and extra-curricular learning experiences.
• Motivate students with differentiated instruction and varied teaching styles.
• Monitor student progress through effective assessments and contribute to assessment standardization.
• Communicate constructively and regularly with students using engaging teaching methods.
