Job Purpose

• To teach English to primary students according to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) curriculum.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create appropriate learning engagements and challenging opportunities for all students.
• Motivate students to perform at their best using differentiated instruction and various teaching styles.
• Collaborate with other teachers to contribute to student success.
• Monitor student performance and progress through effective assessment and support skill mastery.
• Communicate regularly and constructively with students and parents.
• Use engaging teaching methods, including questioning and resource presentation, to stimulate intellectual curiosity.
• Set high behavioral expectations and maintain positive classroom management.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• University degree in English Language or related field.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Experience with PYP is a plus.
• Computer skills for creative classroom technology use.
